Looks like after God created light and the firmament there should be an addendum in Genesis such that “let the waters from above smash down on the waters below and increase them” or something like that.

While it has been theorized that water exists on certain asteroids it now seems all but certain.

Observations of 24 Themis – which at roughly 190 km (120 miles) wide is the largest of the Themis asteroid family lying between the orbits of Jupiter and Mars – have confirmed the presence of surface water ice and carbon-based organic materials.

The Register

The estimated lifetime for the surface ice – thought to exist as extremely thin coatings on dust grains – is on the order of thousands of years, Rivkins’ team notes. But the team also calculates that enough water is present in the asteroid’s top 2 kilometers of material that at current loss rates, it would outlast the age of the solar system.

So this 24 Themis may be where the Obama directed asteroid explorer goes.  Fifteen years from now.  Maybe they need some elders willing to make a one-way ride…

Then there’s the new interest in possible fossil life on Mars – not because any have been found there but because in   gypsum layers in old Mediterranean sea floors very similar to gypsum on Mars, where no one thought fossils could exist, some have been found.  Oh boy, the next Mars Rover will have a whole new area of exploration!

The modern day flat-earthers don’t even believe Americans set foot on the moon decades ago. Denying fossil finds on Mars won’t even break their stride….
